This is because the principals of the firm have over 45 years of combined breadth of experience that spans every real estate product line. Our Team

Brad founded DA Contracting in 2009 and is responsible for all aspects of the firm, including budgeting, design, construction, financing, and investor relations.  The success of DA is a direct result of Brad’s experience, the details of which follow:

In 2007, Brad’s Hamilton Development and The JB Donaldson Construction Company identified many key areas where the two firms either overlapped strengths or generally complemented each other.  As such, the firms merged and produced many similar projects while Brad ascended to an even greater role as a real estate executive driving the investment, development, and construction components of a successful firm in the this industry.

In 2000, Brad founded Hamilton Development and produced many ground-up developments and provided construction management services for clients by leveraging the experience and knowledge obtained by his previous activities, the specifics of which follow.

Prior to founding Hamilton, Brad served as Director of Development for Liberty Property Trust, a $5.9 billion real estate investment trust which owns over 78 million square feet of office and industrial space in over 20 markets throughout the United States and the United Kingdom.  He was accountable for the operations of the Michigan Regional Office and, as such, was responsible for all aspects of the development process.  His responsibilities included ensuring all aspects of preliminary design, proforma, site plan approval, construction management, project lease-up and project close-out were achieved to the shareholders absolute satisfaction.  While at Liberty, Brad’s, specific projects included Big Beaver Business Park in Troy, Michigan, which comprised two buildings each of 50,000 square feet; Gage Marketing in Romulus, Michigan which was a 285,000 square foot build-to-suit with 85,000 square feet of office and 200,000 square feet of warehouse; Altair Engineering in Troy, Michigan, a 135,000 square foot, three story office building; and West Tech Park in Farmington Hills, Michigan which comprised two, 35,000 square feet high tech buildings.

In 1998, he was the Manager of Business Development for The Dailey Company in Troy, Michigan and was accountable for the procurement of new business as well as directing and managing all preconstruction services on all projects.  Brad’s business development duties included new sales, servicing clients, writing proposals, delivering presentations, and contract negotiation.  His pre-construction services duties included the procurement of architects, engineers, and other outside consultants; serving as a liaison between those consultants and customer; assisting in permitting and the approval process through site plan approval; and successfully transitioning each project to a Project Manager for vertical construction.

These Dailey projects included the HI-Lex Controls Building in Troy, Michigan, a 30,000 square feet, two story R&D facility; Delphi Automotive in Troy, Michigan, a 30,000 square foot, interior design/build renovation; a 169,000 square foot, six story office building in Southfield, Michigan, a 103,000 square foot, two story self-storage/conditioned facility in Novi, Michigan, a 45,000 square foot, multi-tenant Hi-Tech facility for Masco Corporation in Metamora, Michigan; and a five building conference center for Grand Sakwa, in Troy, Michigan.

Before he was with the Dailey Company, Brad served as Construction Manager/Development Officer for Prentiss Properties in Southfield, Michigan and was responsible for directing and managing all preconstruction and construction activity on assigned projects. Duties included acquisition of commercial real estate; designing and development of leased space; liaison between architect, contractors, and customers; financial analysis of new developments; preparation of total project proforma; managing projects. With Prentiss, Brad handled Seven Mile Crossing in Livonia, Michigan, four story, 97,000 square foot office building contracted a the acquisition of a 26-acre site in Canton, MI for a 200,000 square foot “big box” distribution project. The project was granted site plan was approval but the project didn’t receive approval from corporate due to company’s falling stock price.

Brad began his real estate career as a Construction Manager for the Eyde Construction Company in East Lansing, Michigan and was responsible for the design and construction of 1.4 million square feet of office, retail, multi-family and industrial buildings. His duties included preparing detailed proposals and feasibility studies, coordinating local government regulations for proposed projects, managing construction workers, engineers, and sales people. While there, he was involved with a 400 unit apartment community, a 180 and 500 lot subdivisions, a 350,000 square foot outlet mall, a two story office building, a 190,000 square foot office building, a 350 unit apartment community, and a 85,000 square foot shopping center.

Brad graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Construction Management, resides in Oakland County, and has four children.

Vladimir cofounded DA Contracting with Brad Klintworth in 2009. Prior to DA, he served as a project manager and delivered 37,000 square feet of space for the Ingersoll Rand Company through his employment with JB Donaldson Company, a major construction firm in Metro Detroit headquartered in Novi, Michigan.  Prior to his employment with JB Donaldson, Vlad was a corporate controller and financial manager for a large auto hauling company based out of Howell, Michigan. Prior to switching to corporate accounting, Vlad was in the public accounting sector as a tax accountant for UHY Advisors in Southfield, Michigan. His experiences position him as uniquely qualified to maintain effective cost controls and accounting.  Vlad graduated with an accounting degree from Wayne State University and obtained an MBA with a focus in finance also at Wayne State.
